Nico Niewind wins at IRCHA

The International Radio Controlled Helicopter Association Jamboree, (IRCHA) took place from 11 to 15 August 2010 in Muncie, Indiana, USA. Around 1,000 registered pilots participated in the world's biggest modelling event. Among them well-known pilots such as Bobby Watts, Bert Kammerer and Nick Maxwell. Also many KONTRONIK pilots like Nico Niewind, Florian Otzmann and Kyle Dahl showed their flying abilities during IRCHA. Nico Niewind set the final point to this event by winning the Night Flight Competition. With an impressive show he beat Bobby Watts and Bert Kammerer and was selected by the audience to win the Competition. Nico's machine was equipped with KONTRONIK PYRO 700-52 and KONTRONIK POWERJIVE 120+HV. The whole KONTRONIK team congrates Nico Niewind to this great success.

KONTRONIK PYRO 600 motors have been delivered with a 5 mm reduced shaft. The motor’s
enormous power and multiple customer demand convinced us to use a 6 mm shaft in future.
Existing 5 mm pinions have to be replaced by 6 mm pinions.

KONTRONIK Pilots dominate F3C championship

This year's F3C European Championships took place from 15 to 25 July in Sibiu, Rumania. Among the participants were numerous KONTRONIK pilots. KONTRONIK components can be considered a success factor for this event. Apart from new European F3C Champion Ennio Graber also second place Ari Holmstrom and third place Bernhard Egger flew KONTRONIK. The Italian team won the Team Challenge against Austria and Swizerland. Also these teams used KONTRONIK drive components during their successful competition. We congratulate all pilots on the sucesses and wish good luck for the upcoming events.

KONTRONIK successful at 3D Masters

From 23 to 25 July 2010 popular 3D Masters took place in Venlo, Netherlands. The event is known as one of the most important helicopter 3D events of the year. Consequently, the world's best 3D pilots came to Venlo and flew in different classes. KONTRONIK pilots Florian Otzmann and Nico Niewind (PYRO 700-52 & JIVE 80+HV) flew an impressive Synchro flight and won this year's Synchro Trophy. Kyle Dahl (POWERJIVE 120+HV) being another KONTRONIK pilot won the category Flight to Music and also made third in the Master class. Nick Maxwell won the KONTRONIK Electric Flight Trophy. The whole KONTRONIK team congratulates all pilot on the successes and wishes good luck for future events.

Limited technical support

Due to a shortage in technical staff delay in processing technical inquiries may occur. First steps in order to guarantee best customer orientation have already been taken. Shortage in PYRO supply

Since the beginning of the year there are massive problems in the supply of PYRO motors. These supplier caused issues result in not being able to give explicit ETAs for the motors. We expect the supply of PYRO 700 motors to improve remarkably over the next weeks. However, for PYRO 600 motors we do not see a short-term supply improvement as essential components cannot be procured in sufficient quantities at the moment. We thank all customers for their patience.

Sebastiano Gabutti ist italienischer Meister

KONTRONIK Pilot Sebastiano Gabutti konnte sich den Titel "Italienischer F3N Meister" sichern. Mit PYRO 700-45 und JIVE 80+HV dominierte Sebastiano alle drei Finalläufe und wurde damit souverän italienischer Meister. Das gesamte KONTRONIK Team gratuliert Sebastiano zu diesem Erfolg und wünscht ihm auch für die 3D Masters in Venlo vom 23. bis  25. Juli viel Glück.
